Mobile crisis response teams provide:
-
When dealing with a mental health crisis such as depression, substance use, thoughts of suicide, loss of a loved one, or major life changes, it’s hard to know what to do, or where to turn for help.
Our trained, caring team members can help deescalate a crisis and decide what to do next. When you make the call, the crisis response team member will ask you for information to determine the best course of action, such as: what you are currently experiencing, stress level, mental health history & diagnosis, medications, past suicide attempts, substance use, and what has helped in the past.
A person in crisis, or a loved one, can call and talk to a trained crisis responder to assess their needs 24/7/365. If your needs are not able to be met over the phone, a team member can come to you.
You don’t have to wait for an emergency to contact us-there is no crisis too small to call.

Our goal is to support the entire family of the person in crisis, reduce or resolve the crisis, and re-establish safety.
Once the crisis is reduced or resolved, our team can also provide short-term stabilization, peer support services, and connect you with additional resources.
Stabilization services provide more individualized support and connection to resources to equip individuals and families to improve outcomes and reduce future crises. Stabilization services usually last 4-6 weeks.
Our Mobile Crisis Response teams also offer Certified Peer Support Specialists, which are trained professionals that have lived experience navigating the mental health system and can provide additional support as needed.

Embedded Social Workers in Law Enforcement
Canvas Health has partnerships with law enforcement and correctional facilities to embed mental health responders. These responders assist community members in mental health crises who have had contact with law enforcement, providing de-escalation, assessment, and connection to care. The embedded social worker approach reduces unnecessary hospital transports, while improving community trust and outcomes.
